It is a very beautiful time of year here at MFNP, the wild native azaleas are blooming on the driveway, the double crested irises are blooming in the forest along with many other wildflowers. We have migrating birds coming home to Minglewood for the summer along with others using the preserve as a resting spot as they fly further north for the summer. The butterflies are hatching and the bee hive should be splitting soon as it has done in springs past! It is an exciting time to visit Minglewood and en especially beautiful time also! We hope you will join us for some plant shopping and a spring hike in the forest!
Mindfulness, Self Care and Refuge
Saturday, May 6th, 9:45-3:30
Minglewood is excited to announce a Mindfulness, Self-Care & Refuge Workshop with Cheryl Shirillo Johnson and Margie Imus. Together we have created a self-care in nature retreat for here at MFNP. The day will begin with a meet and greet over coffee or tea and a snack. We then begin our day together learning about the powerful mindfulness meditation practices and how this practice can help us in our everyday lives. We will participate together in forest bathing in Minglewood's beautiful native forest, we will enjoy a fabulous farm to table lunch prepared by Minglewood, and attendees will also have the opportunity to create and work together on some earth art. We are excited to work with Cheryl who is exceptional in her field of Mindfulness meditation. This promises to be a very special experience here at MFNP.
